Papers Guidelines

 

RULES FOR SUBMISSION TO THE II WORLD CONGRESS OF RESEARCH IN HEALTH

 

Important: To submit an abstract, you need to be registered in advance  Registration

All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English with quality suitable for publication.

Notifications regarding abstract acceptance/rejection will be sent to authors by September 18, 2014.

Only abstracts from authors who have paid their registration fees by September 20, 2014 will be published in the Journal Atención Primaria, as publication assumes the obligation of the first author, of each paper, to be registered in the congress.

Submission of the abstract constitutes the authors' consent to publication (e.g. Congress website, Congress Programs, other promotion methods, etc.) The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that he/she is the sole owner or has the rights of all the information and content provided to the II World Congress of Research in Health. The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.

The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication of an abstract which does not comply with in the rules for submission.

 Upon submission the Abstract Submitter confirms that the contact details saved in the system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract. Each author can submit a maximum of 6 abstracts. 

 

Guidelines for Submission

 

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

       Presenting author's contact details

       Email address

       Author and co-authors' details

       Full first and family name(s)

       Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country

Abstract title - limited to 120 characters including spaces

 

Abstract text - limited to 1800 characters including spaces
 

 

Abstract layout - Abstracts should obligatorily use the following structured format, incorporating text in each of the following topics, which should also be present in the abstract.

 

In case of an empirical study, you should incorporate the following components:

Introduction: .....
Objectives: .....
Methods: .....
Results: .....
Conclusions: ....

Keywords – to a maximum of 5

 

In case of a study of a theoretical proposal, it should contain the following components:

Introduction (integrates the objective): ...
State of the Art: ...
New perspectives / guidelines: ...
Theoretical and practical implications: ...
Conclusions: ...

The formats for submission of papers have a proper model to be followed, you have to download it, complete and submit it. See indications described below.

 

Observations: i) abstracts must be submitted before the deadline in order to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Program; ii) abstracts must be submitted in English, but may be presented at the congress in Portuguese.

 

The communications to the congress may be made according to the following format:

FC – Free Communication:

Designed as an oral communication of short duration, whose main advantage is that it allows immediate feedback, allowing the passage instantaneous from transmitter to receiver and vice versa. The free communications have duration of 10 minutes each and will be grouped according to the different thematic areas, whose discussion is coordinated by an invited moderator.  TEMPLATE

 

P - Poster:

Understood as a written communication organized around a theme, where the results (numerical data, graphics, images or other) are a central aspect and therefore it is considered that the presentation of verbal and graphical form enables an exhibition, an appreciation and / or a more refined discussion of its contents will be moderated by a invited coordinator. Authors should bring copies of your poster in A4 format to deliver to stakeholders. TEMPLATE

 

TS - Thematic Symposium:

Conceived as structuring group of papers presented together, with the particularity of being organized by a coordinator, whose main concern is that they demonstrate a high internal consistency. This is, form a whole interconnected or related to a particular theme. Each Symposium will have a minimum of 4 performances and a maximum of 6. The coordinator that proposes the symposium will be responsible for organizing the work of the participants, and the abstracts of TS and its component communications should be sent in individual proposal for each communication (following the model of free communication), under the responsibility of the coordinator. If the proposal for symposium is accepted, the coordinator shall ensure that all participants make the respective subscription. TEMPLATE

Observations:

1. On the day of presentation of TS, it is up to the coordinator to perform an initial presentation on the topic of the symposium, followed by the presentation of the works of the participants (10 minutes, for each communication); 2. The registration fee of integrated participants in Thematic Symposium is 70€; 3. Enrollment of the Coordinator proposing the Thematic Symposium is free.
